UI/UX Study Case: improving an influencer marketing platform

Introduction

Oftentimes, even great products, the ones with a good idea and the right features, need refinement. Imagine a product that solves a big problem in a growing market, but lacks clarity, flow, and a design that feels truly usable. That was Revv’s case when they reached out.

Revv is an influencer marketing platform built to help marketers and creators organize, run, and track campaigns across both web2 and web3. Their product was live, the team was experienced, but they weren’t confident in the platform, it felt confusing and hard to use. They didn’t need to reinvent the wheel; they needed a design partner who could translate their vision into an intuitive, scalable experience that offered better usability for their users.

The Problem

Revv started as a rewards platform for streamers but evolved into something bigger, a tool to run end-to-end influencer campaigns. As the product grew, so did its complexity. New features were added without a cohesive design direction. What was meant to be a dynamic, empowering platform ended up feeling frustrating to use.

The pain points were clear:

  • Marketers struggled to find and manage influencers efficiently.
  • Campaign creation lacked flow, making onboarding difficult.
  • The analytics were buried under confusing interfaces.
  • There was no scalable design system to support future growth.

On top of that, the team had one big goal: reduce friction so much that users could self-onboard: no support tickets, no hand-holding, just clarity.

What we discovered

From the first UI/UX audit to in-depth user testing, we dove deep into how people were actually using (or struggling to use) Revv.

Here’s what stood out:

  • Fragmented journeys: The platform had powerful features, but they didn’t talk to each other. Users couldn’t move through a campaign flow smoothly.
  • Hidden insights: Revv offers rich data, but users didn’t know where to find it or how to use it.
  • Confusion over value: First-time users didn’t immediately get what Revv could do for them. The core value was there, but the experience didn’t communicate it.

These discoveries shaped every design decision we made moving forward: from how we restructured the navigation, to how we surfaced data, to how we built a flexible design system that can grow with the product.

What we did

We reimagined Revv’s platform by combining UX research with high-fidelity design from the start. Our team audited the existing experience, identified friction points, and rebuilt the interface with a clear, scalable structure. We created a data-driven dashboard, refined campaign flows, and developed a consistent design system, making the product not just more intuitive, but scalable.

UI/UX Audit & Discovery

We kicked things off by diving deep into the existing platform. Through a hands-on audit, we uncovered what was slowing users down, from a hard navigation to confuse workflows. Our goal was clarity: making every action feel simple, purposeful, and connected.

User Testing & Insights

Real users, real feedback. We put Revv in front of its key audience and watched closely. Where did they hesitate? What made sense, and what didn’t? These sessions helped us validate key decisions, especially around campaign creation, data visualization, and influencer discovery. Their insights shaped our design direction.

UI Design

High-Fidelity Design

We jumped straight into high-fidelity to bring the new experience to life faster and with intention. Every screen was crafted to guide users through their tasks with clarity and ease. We reworked the dashboard, restructured navigation, and made sure the visual language felt modern and cohesive.

Design System

To keep things scalable, we built a flexible design system with reusable components, type rules, and interaction patterns. Whether adding new features or scaling to new users, Revv now has the structure to grow with consistency.
