Introduction
When it comes to DeFi, first impressions matter. Users expect speed, trust, and clarity, from every interaction. Soroswap knew that getting the first impression right meant everything — and that’s where we came in.
Soroswap is a decentralized exchange that allows users to swap cryptocurrencies quickly, securely, and transparently. Despite their solid technology and bold vision, the platform lacked the efficiency that power users needed and felt overwhelming for newcomers. The user experience didn’t reflect their true potential.
They needed a design partner who could elevate the platform experience and create a visual identity that matched their values: futuristic, community-driven, and accessible to all.

The Problem
Soroswap had built a functioning DEX with a growing user base, but as the platform expanded, the interface lacked consistency. New users struggled to get started. Advanced users found the experience limiting. And visually, the product didn’t align with the forward-thinking brand Soroswap aimed to be.
- Onboarding was unclear, leaving newcomers unsure of where to start.
- Core actions like swapping and staking felt unintuitive, with inconsistent UI patterns.
- The visual identity lacked cohesion, making the platform feel generic
- Power users couldn’t move efficiently, leading to drop-off in engagement.
Clearly they needed a system that could scale with them, support all user levels, and build trust from the very first click.
What We Discovered
We looked beyond what Soroswap was and focused on what it could be for users.
Here’s what stood out:
- DeFi users want speed and transparency, but slow load times and clunky interactions broke trust.
- First-time users felt overwhelmed, often abandoning the platform before completing a single transaction.
- There was no clear brand story, and the interface didn’t reflect the community-first values Soroswap stood for.
- Experienced users wanted more control, but the UI didn’t give them the flexibility they expected.
These insights lead to how we structured core flows, how we communicated trust and how we built a new design system rooted in Soroswap’s ethos.
What We Did
We transformed Soroswap by blending strategic UX thinking with bold, high-fidelity design. From day one, our approach was user-centered and future-focused. We made the experience smoother, the identity stronger, and the entire platform more accessible and scalable.

UI/UX Design
App Redesign: Low to High Fidelity
We started with low-fidelity wireframes to rethink the user journey and interaction patterns across the DEX. The goal was to simplify the swapping process while keeping power features accessible for advanced users.
Then we moved on to high-fidelity designs, using a dark/light futuristic theme that resonates with the DeFi space.

Landing Page Redesign
We also redesigned the Soroswap landing page, light and dark mode, to align with the app’s visuals and better inform users about the protocol.

Redesigning Soroswap was about positioning a pioneering product for growth in a rapidly evolving ecosystem. They are ready to welcome both experienced DeFi users and curious newcomers.
Change faster, swap better. That’s the Soroswap way.
